REGULATION No 129/63/EEC OF THE COUNCIL ' of 12 December 1963
on certain provisions relating to poultry eggs for hatching and live poultry not exceeding 185 grammes weight per head
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC Whereas, to enable Member States to introduce , legal COMMUNITY, and administrative provisions for checks on eggs for hatching, sufficient time must be allowed between Having regard to the Treaty establishing the the date of entry into force of the Regulation and the European Economic Community, and in particular date of application of the provisions on stamping and Article 43 thereof; checking;

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Whereas eggs for hatching should be prevented from being put on the market as eggs for consumption ; whereas, to this end, eggs for hatching should be Article 1 stamped to distinguish them from eggs for consumption ; 1 . The quantity of feed-grain for eggs for hatching This list must include the following particulars : provided for in Article 3 (3 ) (a) of Council Regulation No 21 shall be different from that laid (a) the name (or business name) and address of the down for eggs in shell for consumption ; this quantity poultry-breeding establishment; shall be fixed before 1 October 1964, in accordance with the procedure laid down in the second sentence (b) the registration number of that establishment; of Article 3 (5 ) ( a) of that Regulation and shall be (c) the name and address of the responsible poultry used for calculating the levies applicable from 1 farmer. Article 7
Article 8 1 . The quantities of feed-grain provided for in Article 1 of Council Regulation No 104/63/EEC shall be maintained until otherwise decided by the Council This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January or, failing that, until the date when the Regulations 1964 . to be adopted by the Council for applying Articles 5 and 6 of this Regulation are put into effect. Articles 1, 2, 3 and 4 shall apply from 1 May 1964.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
