A rtikel 1 Signatärmakterna skall samordna sina an strängningar beträffande projektet, som utföres för att stimulera forskning och utveck ling inom metallurgin om ämnet ” material för gasturbiner”. En sammanfattande be skrivning av det arbete, som förutses för projektet, finns i bilagan.

Syftet med projektet är att stimulera ge nomförandet av samordnade forsknings- och utvecklingsoperationer beträffande ovan näm nda ämne med kontrakt mellan veder börande statliga organ å ena sidan och in dustriföretag och forskningsinstitutioner (statliga eller privata forskningscentra, uni versitetsinstitut och gemensamma centra), å den andra, eller genom att anförtro arbete åt statliga forskningsinstitutioner, som samtyc ker till att arbeta tillsammans på multinatio nell basis.

Kommittén skall utfärda motiverade re kommendationer på grundval av de forskningsförslag som underställts den.
