Regeringen beslöt den 13 m ars 1986 att underteckna och ratificera tilläggs­ protokollet. R atifikationsinstrum entet deponerades den 13 ju n i 1986 hos den franska regeringen. Tilläggsprotokollet har ännu ej trä tt i kraft.

De fördragsslutande parterna i konven­ tionen om förhindrande av havsförorening från landbaserade källor, som upp rättad es i Paris den 4 ju n i 1974 (nedan kallad ” konven­ tio n en ” ); som erin rar om artikel 1 i konventionen, i vilken de fördragsslutande sta te rn a förbinder sig att vidta alla tänkbara åtgärder för att förhindra förorening av havet; som inser att konventionen inte innehåller bestäm m elser som avser förhindrande av för­ orening av havsom rådet genom luften, som ön sk ar utvidga konventionens räck­ vidd, så att den även om fattar sådan förore­ ning; har kom m it överens om följande.
