Regeringen beslutade den 7 april 2022 att underteckna avtalet. Undertecknandet skedde den 13 och den 18 april 2022. Regeringen beslutade den 4 augusti 2022 att underrätta om att de nödvändiga svenska förfarandena för avtalets ikraftträdande slutförts.
