REGULATION (EEC) No 1025/70 OF THE COUNCIL of 25 May 1970 establishing common rules for imports from third countries
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas the object of that adaptation must be the establishment of common rules for imports from third countries ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 thereof ; Whereas such common rules must have as a basis the common list of liberalised products drawn up under Having regard to the instruments establishing Regulation (EEC) No 2041/68 with a view to common organisation of agricultural markets and to consolidating at Community level liberalisation the instruments concerning processed agricultural measures taken by the Member States and extended products adopted in pursuance of Article 235 of the by Regulations (EEC) Nos 1228 /694 and 1827/695 ; Treaty, in particular the provisions of those whereas this list may be extended by decision of the instruments which allow for derogation from the Council to include other products and other third general principle that all quantitative restrictions or countries ; measures having equivalent effect may be replaced solely by the measures provided for in those same Whereas the products contained in the common instruments ; liberalisation list must not be subject to any quantitative restriction ; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; Whereas the Commission must, however, be Whereas, after the transitional period has ended, the informed by the Member States of any danger common commercial policy must be based on created by trends in imports which might call for uniform principles ; protective measures ;
