REGULATION (EEC) No 1129/74 OF THE COUNCIL of 29 April 1974 amending Regulation No 359/67/EEC on the common organization of the market in rice

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , ' 1 . The common organization of the market in rice shall comprise a price and trading system and cover the following products :

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 thereof ;

Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; CCT heading No Description of goods

Whereas pursuant to Annex A to Council Regulation No 120/67/EEC ( x ) of 13 June 1967 on the common organization of the market in cereals, as last 2. For the purposes of this Regulation, paddy amended by Regulation (EEC ) No 1346/73 ( 2 ), rice rice, husked rice, semi-milled rice, wholly milled pellets are included under the common organization rice, round grained rice, long grained rice and of the market in cereals while, in fact, they come broken rice are the products defined in Annex A. ' under the common organization of the market in rice ; whereas this product should therefore be mentioned in Article 1 of Council Regulation No 359/67/EEC (3 ) of 25 July 1967 on the common organization of the market in rice, as last amended by the Act of Accession (4),

Article 2

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 1 . The text of Article 9 ( 1 ) of Regulation No 359/ Article 1 67/EEC shall be replaced by the following :

The text of Article 1 of Regulation No 359/67/EEC shall be replaced by the following: 'A production refund shall be granted for broken rice which has been used :

2. Point 4 of Annex A to Regulation No 359 /67/ This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 September EEC shall be deleted . 1974 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
