2 Phonogram is a generic term covering vinyl records, compact discs and audio cassettes. It is defined by Article 3(b) of the Rome Convention of 26 October 1961 for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organizations as meaning any exclusively aural fixation of sounds of a performance or of other sounds.
